News!! We are excited to share that Core Metal has been contracted by SICIM S.p.A for the construction of the ETL 182 Elbe Süd – Achim pipeline project.

About the ETL 182 pipeline project

ETL 182 will take natural gas from LNG (liquefied natural gas) plants in Brunsbüttel and Stade and transport it to the existing network point in Achim. There, the natural gas will be fed into the existing regional natural gas supply network. The pipeline and all technical facilities will also enable the planned future transport of hydrogen.

The approximately 86.9 km long pipeline will have a diameter of DN 1400 and a maximum operating pressure of 84 bar. The pipeline will be laid at a depth of at least one meter, largely using trench construction methods. In some places, closed trench construction is planned to avoid damaging the surface. In addition to the construction and operation of the pipeline, the project also includes areas and facilities that will be used during the construction period, as well as the permanent securing of a twelve-meter-wide protective strip required for operation. The pipeline is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2027.
